"Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution -- these can lift at a colossal humbug -- push it a little -- weaken it a little over the course of a century; but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand." -Mark Twain
"The political and commercial morals of the United States are not merely food for laughter, they are an entire banquet."
- Mark Twain
The only thing scarier than Ahmadinejad's cocktail of nuclear ambition and anti-Semitism is the quickening jingoism in America to strike Iran militarily--even using nukes, as Seymour Hersh reported.
Military Strikes?
While the antagonism and nuclear ambitions of Iran are scary, according to the CIA and U.S. intelligence, Iran is ten years away from an actual bomb. The International Institute for Strategic Studies and ISIS both say that the quickest Iran could obtain a single bomb would be 3 to 5 years. An estimate of 10 to 15 years is even more realistic if Iran encounters technical difficulties, which are very likely to occur in the long, anfractuous process to create a weapon.
So when Krauthammer, in all of his idiocy, says "Iran is probably just months away" from a nuclear weapon (article), he abusing the truth.
