"Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution -- these can lift at a colossal humbug -- push it a little -- weaken it a little over the course of a century; but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand." -Mark Twain
"The political and commercial morals of the United States are not merely food for laughter, they are an entire banquet."
- Mark Twain
Title: "The Iowa Caucuses - er - Carcasses"
Date: 1-17-04
Notes/Comment From Sam:
Due to the traditional Caucus system, there had been much infighting from the Democratic candidates. Most of the attacks were focused on Dean; he was the one to beat. As the weekend closed, the polls showed Gephardt, Kerry, Dean and Edwards all relatively equal. While there was dissent on foreign policy and other matters, they all agreed Bush must go.
